About the workshop:
In 2024, Dave Rosenberg and Jim Todd (both educators), wrote, produced and starred in a short film called "Professional Development" about the consequences of teacher burnout and the necessity for self care and support.
The 8 minute short was accepted into The Beverly Hills Film Festival, as well as the Julien Dubuque International Film Festival. After the success of the film and the enormous positive feedback (particularly by educators), Dave and Jim decided to create a workshop called "Professional Development: Avoiding Teacher Burnout" geared towards helping educators avoid burnout and collaborate and communicate about tools and techniques to promote self care.
With roughly 30% to 50% of new teachers leaving the profession within their first 5 years, "Professional Development: Avoiding Teacher Burnout" is not only inspirational and empowering, it is a necessity if we want our teachers to thrive for more than five years!
